VINTAGE SUPERTONE UKE 1930 IDLE HOUR UKULELE

Description

Vintage Supertone Uke from the 1930 period, called " Idle Hour" .   I believe these were made by Harmony. Relatively rare find, I have only seen one other. Very art deco.  The soprano uke has a celluloid fretboard and a bound body and soundhole. Sunburst finish and is decorated with a stencil. Stencil has a few chips out of it. Uke has seen plenty of playing. I see a chip on the bridge, could be patched with epoxy or may be able to use as is. I have not tried to string it will leave that up to the new owner. Label inside shows approval on label . Overall length is 20 1/2" lower bout 6" Upper nut 1 1/2". Thanks for looking and be sure to check out our other vintage instruments we have for sale...Doc
