Description
This is a vintage publication of "Sonata concertata" Nr. 2 for guitar and violin composed by Niccolo Paganini. It is arranged from the original by Erwin Schwarz-Reiflingen. Musikverlag Wilhelm Zimmermann of Frankfurt is the publisher; 1955 is the copyright date. This is a sonata in three movements: Allegro spiritoso in 4/4, Adagio assai espressivo in 3/4 and Rondeau in 6/8. The music measures 12 by 9 inches. There are 8 opening pages including the title page, 2 pages of facsimile excerpts, and a 4-page essay in German. The music for guitar has 6 pages. The violin part also has 6 pages. A page of revisions and notes follows the guitar part. This volume has a cover in a heavier stock in gray with a tweedy effect and printing and artwork in green. The guitar part plus all reference pages are bound in the cover. The binding looks like it is glued; there are no staples. The violin part is printed on separate pages and nested in the volume. The music is very clearly printed on a nice quality paper. This is an older duet in excellent condition. There's been a crease at the lower outside corner, but other than that everything looks new. The spine is not worn and the binding is snug. Both parts are clean with no markings, tears or stains.
