This vintage 1979 promotional poster was for the debut album, The Clash , on Epic Records by The Clash. Poster was printed in limited quantities and distributed in select U.S.A. record stores and radio stations to promote the new album release. The debut album was released in the U.K. in 1977 but was not released in the United States until 1979. This poster is for the U.S. release with a different track list than the U.K. version and also contained several previously-unreleased-on-any-album tracks. Poster has some minor edge wear but overall is in excellent condition. Colors are vivid since poster has been in storage for 42 years. I worked at various music stores over 35 years and stashed plenty of posters along the way. The attic is full and the closets are stuffed so its time to share with other music fans and collectors.
