RETRO 1-2-3 Hiawatha Locomotive and Tender with Track and Bumpers Like New Condition VERY RARE
The overall size and detail of this set is jaw dropping beautiful. This show piece would add a uniqueness to any serious collector's collection.
Only 9 of these giant scale Hiawatha models were ever produced by Retro 1-2-3 Models. This is serial number set 0001. These trains were scaled to fit on Buddy L 3.25” track. All-metal construction with great attention to detail on both locomotive and tender. Overall train dimensions are 55” x 7” x 10.5” and includes 70” of track with end bumpers for display. Extremely nice condition.

Every now and then we like to do something different. Something that most firms would not even dream of attempting. With our self-proclaimed interest in streamline design as shown in our Flash Gordon Rocket Ships and our passion for the GM Futurliner, we decided it was time to do a streamlined locomotive. Though we did have numerous designs to choose from that era, choosing the Hiawatha was not a difficult decision. In time, it is our hopes that we will also offer the passenger cars to this locomotive/tender offer since these passenger cars are as compelling as the locomotive itself. Streamlined/Deco at its very best!
In keeping with our interest in vintage toys, our Hiawatha is scaled so that it can run on Buddy L track and our couplers will work with current Buddy L cars and couplers so that you can make an entire train set with them until we create the matching passenger cars.
Each version of this model is strictly limited to an issue of 100 serial numbered units.

Note - The Tender from this set is roughly as large as a Lionel 400E Standard Gauge Engine and Tender to give you some frame of reference.
CONDITION: This very unique and rare engine and tender are being sold as USED. The overall condition is like-new without any noticeable scratches or blemishes. However, we are not experts at grading trains. The best description of the overall condition of this item is the provided pictures. We try to provide detailed and accurate photos so you have a complete sense of what you are bidding on. You will receive everything that is pictured. That is:
The Hiawatha Engine and Tender, the 4 sections of track with hardware, and the 2 bumpers. There is no original packaging/boxes with this set.

**NOTE - Because of the size, shape and weight of this set we would likely ship this in three separate boxes one for the locomotive, one for the tender and one for the track.

We will combine shipping when we are able to. If you are seeing a higher than expected shipping rate, please let us know and we can see if it is accurate or not. We typically ship using USPS or UPS whichever ends up being cheaper.
We typically ship out within one business day of receiving payment.
PAYMENT & RETURNS:
All purchases must be paid within 5-days of the purchase. After 5-days of no payment a claim of non-payment will be filed so we can relist our item.
At less item is not as described or pictured we do not accept returns. Factory sealed items that are sent back to us due to conflict will incur a 20% restocking fee.
