For sale is a pair of Oxford 10" AlNiCo WOOFERS / SPEAKERS in perfect working condition and very good cosmetic shape. Were removed from a 1963 vintage Truetone stereo console. Model # stamped on magnets is 10HB-33 and EIA codes are 465 3 08. The number "SPK-133" is probably Truetone's part #. Frame diameter measures 10 & 5/16" and each woofer weighs about 2.75 lbs. The DCR readings are 3.9 ohms and 4.0 ohms on my meter. These are obviously made for fairly low-level power input... and best for tube amps. Both of these, plus 4" cone tweeters connected with a 2uf crossover cap, were powered by a single 35C5 output tube. When testing outside of console, they both play equally clear and fairly loud before any signs of distortion. I'd guess they could handle about 10 watts RMS, but that's just my "educated" guess based on the electronics and tubes of the console, plus observed loudness when tested outside of console system.
The paper cones with continuous accordion type surrounds are in great shape.. no tears, holes or creases. There are a few tiny white dots here and there, but very small and only cosmetic. I wouldn't advise trying to clean them off as old paper cones can be very fragile/brittle and water could damage the cones. No install screws included as these were installed from the rear, attaching to the screw-posts from inside the console cabinet... typical of mid-century console speakers. Some short pieces of lead wires remain attached/soldered to the terminals, from where I cut the speakers free. I can leave terminals alone, or.. I could de-solder and clean up the terminals before packing if buyer desires, and messages me BEFORE buying !
