    Description

You are looking at an early 1950s Islander soprano ukulele that was designed and manufactured by the legendary luthier Mario Maccaferri. This instrument, and it is a musical instrument and not a toy, was made from Dow Styron plastic. This example is in excellent cosmetic and structural condition. It includes the Arthur Godfrey Uke Changer, a device that was supposed to make it easy to make a chord by just pushing a button. (Spoiler alert: It doesn’t work very well.) This uke includes its original songbook, an unused set of Islander strings and the manual for the Uke Player. All in all, this is a cool uke with some scarce ephemera all housed in a recent vintage gig bag.
We ship on the Tuesday following the end of the Sunday auctions.
