This beautiful Tiger Oak Cigar Humidor dates from the 1890s. I have had this in my tobacciana collection for many years. The humidor has a brass scroll affixed to the lid which spells out "Cigars", and I replaced 3 or 4 of the little brass nails that hold it on as they were missing when I acquired. Original felt on the bottom. Brass hinges are in great working condition. Lovely ornate brass locking mechanism (missing the original key). The entire interior of the humidor is original and is lined in brass and does show a little light pitting. The original humidifier is made of brass and slides in/out of a track in the back bottom section. The humidor measures 10&3/4" wide x 6&3/4" deep x 3&3/4" tall. In overall very good condition and one of the better examples I have seen of this particular box, which is why I originally added it to my collection. I will be liquidating parts of my collection (cutters, lighters, humidors, tobacco jars, Hayim Pinhas meershaum pipes, etc.) as I am paring down, so be sure to check out my other auctions over the coming days. All sales are final.
