    Description

This is a good example of a
    1975 Kawasaki KX400.
    Its a pretty solid
bike and very dependable. It is what I would classify as a good rider condition. As with any bike you would want to go over it before racing though. I will go into details on the bike below. It normally starts in 1-2 kicks. If it sits for a few months maybe 3-4 kicks. Has good compression and runs good. With a little bit of work this could be a really nice bike. The good:
Motor fires right up and runs good
Forks legs are in good condition and the forks dont lead
    Tank is not dented
Plastics are fairly new and in decent condition
    Tires are about 90%
Rims are in pretty good condition considering its age
Shocks are aftermarket Works performance shocks and in pretty good condition with no leaks. Shafts are in nice shape
Seat is in nice condition but the seat cover is not original
Pipe is fairly new aftermarket. Does have a bit of surface rust but that can be sanded out.
    The Bad:
The tank does have some scratches and chips in it
The kick starter has play in it and it does not lock into place that well (I use a rubber O ring to hold it in place once started)
Had to dent the pipe a bit where the kick
starter comes close during starting. Probably could dent it a little more.
Frame paint has wear in certain areas
    Missing the counter sprocket cover

    SHIPPING
    :
buyer is responsible for the cost of shipping. If you do not have a shipper I can recommend one I have been using for the past 12 years. They alternate an east / west coast to coast trip every three weeks and a north / south trip in between. Once the bike is paid for I can hold longer if needed until the shipper can get it. I want this to be a stress free transaction for the new owner.
